Tishomingo Event Center
Project Overview
The Tishomingo Event Center in Tishomingo, OK, is a large, modern facility built by the Chickasaw Nation for major gatherings, featuring a 2,500-seat arena with stadium seating, advanced A/V, green rooms, and a large lobby, designed to host tribal events and serve as a cultural hub for the community and visitors, strengthening ties to Chickasaw heritage while also being part of a growing entertainment scene in the area.
The Challenge
The Tishomingo Events Center required a cohesive ceiling solution for both the main seating area and the pre-function concourse that could balance architectural impact with acoustic performance. The auditorium demanded clear speech intelligibility and controlled reverberation for live performances, while the high-traffic pre-function concourse needed to minimize echo and crowd noise in a bright, open environment. Both spaces also required seamless integration with lighting, mechanical systems, and stage infrastructure—without compromising ceiling height, sightlines, or the refined aesthetic expected of a premier events venue.
Our Solution
The design team selected the Redbud Linear Open system to unify both spaces with a warm, contemporary wood ceiling that performs acoustically and architecturally. In the main seating area, the linear open configuration supports sound control while accommodating theatrical lighting and rigging above the audience. In the pre-function concourse, the same system provides visual continuity, acoustic comfort, and clean integration with linear lighting and building systems. Together, the Redbud Linear Open installations create a cohesive design language throughout the facility while enhancing sound quality, occupant comfort, and the overall guest experience.
