Thompson Construction Inc. (TCI) was founded in 1997 by Rob Thompson. Based in Tulsa, TCI is an award-winning, minority-owned construction company. Providing preconstruction, construction management, design-build, and general contracting services for renovations, expansions, and ground-up projects.
The Challenge
Achieve clear speech intelligibility and acoustic comfort in a conference room where hard surfaces, glass walls, and technology-driven layouts create sound reflections, echo, and noise buildup. The space must control reverberation and support focused discussion, video conferencing, and presentations—without compromising aesthetics, ceiling height.
Our Solution
Incorporate Redbud acoustic wood baffles to address sound control by absorbing and diffusing noise throughout the conference room. The vertical baffle profile interrupts sound reflections that typically bounce between walls and ceilings, reducing echo and reverberation that interfere with clear communication. By improving speech intelligibility and minimizing background noise buildup, the acoustic wood baffles create a more comfortable, focused environment for meetings and collaboration, while also enhancing the room with the warmth and texture of natural wood.
