Bob Hurley RV
Project Overview
Bob Hurley RV new dealership location in Oklahoma City. This location features more than 500 RVs on about 13.5 acres of paved lot. The new building and property in Oklahoma City represent a larger, paved, modern RV sales and service campus intended to serve a bigger inventory and better customer experience compared to older or smaller lots.
The Challenge
Control excessive noise and reverberation in a large, open metal building where hard, reflective surfaces, high ceilings, and wide-open volumes amplify sound. The space must achieve acceptable speech intelligibility and occupant comfort without enclosing the ceiling or compromising the building’s open, industrial character, while also accommodating lighting, mechanical systems, and fire-life-safety requirements.
Our Solution
Introduce a suspended acoustic wood baffle system strategically distributed throughout the open volume to absorb and diffuse sound without closing in the space. The vertically oriented wood baffles reduce reverberation and echo by interrupting sound paths at multiple heights, while preserving the building’s open, architectural character. The system integrates cleanly with lighting, HVAC, and fire-protection layouts, improves speech intelligibility and occupant comfort, and delivers high acoustical performance with a warm, visually refined aesthetic.
